Pre-Primary Wing
Pre-Nursery to KG (Age 02 to 05)
Once a child is born, the mother is the best teacher as well as a guide. She is the first influence, providing her child with love and security. Reflecting on our own childhoods, we are reminded of the countless life lessons our mothers imparted, shaping our values, wisdom, and character. SSIS has a crystal-clear concept for MOTHER TEACHER who helps students to acquire knowledge, competence, or virtue.
Understanding the child and developing support between the learner and the teacher. Helps in a better understanding of the various development stages of the child especially cognitive and emotional. An insight into the child's behavioural problems observed by the teacher. This pioneering approach is integrated by SSIS into all Pre-Primary wing classes, from Pre-Nursery to Class II, with each class supported by a dedicated Mother Teacher, Assistant Teacher, and Governess.
Primary Wing
Grade I to V (Age 06 to 10)
Through the facilitation of Socratic seminars, question formulation techniques, and innovative learning methods, we empower our elementary students to assume ownership of their educational journey. By entrusting them with opportunities to steer debates, make informed decisions, and exercise autonomy within the classroom, we foster a culture of self-directed learning, critical thinking, and confident decision-making. This student-centered approach not only cultivates intellectual curiosity and creativity but also equips our young scholars with the essential skills to navigate an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
Middle Wing
Grade VI to VIII (Age 11 to 13)
These classes serve as a pivotal and highly influential stepping stone, laying the foundational groundwork for future academic success and providing a seamless transition to higher education. The academic curriculum hence is designed to instill a healthy respect for hard work and to develop sound formal study skills.
The students are prepared for the rigorous academic requirements of the senior school, they are encouraged to do individual and group works, and become independent inquirers. Public speaking is encouraged, along with independent research work, as such activities help the students to gain confidence and push their boundaries of knowledge even further. Stress is given to discipline and punctuality.
